The word yoga means to join or unite, and yogis view this union in different ways- the union of body, mind and soul, uniting all the aspects of yourself or uniting with a higher power or spiritual force.
When committing to yoga practice on a regular basis, yogis seek to experience and become aware of the spirit, or the energy within. Tapping into higher consciousness, a driving force, a motivation, a reason behind everything we think and everything we do.
Your mat is your mirror.
Yoga is a great practice for chakra healing and many poses specifically connect with certain chakras. It’s all about being conscious of your body, breath and mind. Learning to manipulate the flow of energy through your chakras is very beneficial!

Welcome to my channel and my challenge! Today we are going to start with the ROOT Chakra. This video shows one pose to strengthen your Root Chakra. If you enjoyed it please like it and subscribe to receive more. Tomorrow will be another pose and second chakra - Sacral Chakra!
If you have ever taken a yoga or meditation class, you probably learned something about chakras and the role they play in the flow of energy in your body. It is very important to keep your chakras open or unblocked.
So what is chakra?
In Sanskrit the word means ‘disk’ or ‘wheel’ and refers to the energy centers in your body. These wheels or disks of spinning energy each correspond to certain nerve bundles and major organs.
To function at their best, your chakras need to stay open or balanced.
If they get blocked you may experience physical or emotional symptoms related to a particular chakra.
Today we will start with ROOT CHAKRA - Muladhara - located at the base of your spine. It provides you with a base or foundation for life and it helps you feel grounded.
This chakra is responsible for basic needs, our sense of belonging, security, stability and survival.
When balanced: you feel grounded, stable, secured, you have optimal weight and you eat healthy also you eliminate waste properly.
When unbalanced: you feel insecure, unstable, fearful, anxious, over/under weight, constipated.
This chakra is developed between 0-7 years
Organs: adrenals, spine, coccyx. Outer body: feet, legs, pelvis.
Welcome to the day 2 of my free chakra challenge. Today we are talking about Sacral Chakra. This video is primarily for women as I am covering ovaries and womb. For men it will be testicles. Please subscribe to my channel to receive updates and join me tomorrow for 3rd chakra - Solar Plexus!
Let's talk about Sacral Chakra- Svadhisthana - is located just below your belly button.
This chakra is responsible for your sexual and creative energy. It’s also linked to how you relate to your emotions as well as the emotions of others.
It is associated with the water element and vibrant orange color and it's often represented by a six-petalled lotus flower. The Sanskrit name is Svadhisthana. “The symbol of the sacral chakra is a moon crescent, which represents the relationship between the tides of water and the phases of the moon.”
In Sanskrit, Svadhisthana means “where your being is established.”
When balanced you feel: pleasure, creative, joyful, sexual, fertile, playful. When unbalanced you feel: guilty, shy, irresponsible, infertile, you experience sexual issues, eating disorder, withheld intimacy, low libido, chronic lower back pain, genital problems.
This chakra is developed between 8-14 years.
Organs: kidney, urinary bladder, spleen, reproductive system, genitals.
Also if you have a persistent belief that you don’t belong or that you aren’t a creative person, your sacral chakra may become blocked.
Growing up in an environment that emphasizes sexual repression could also lead to a blocked sacral chakra, as well as experiences of sexual trauma. Unblocking your sacral chakra involves getting the energies of the creative, sexual, and emotional self flowing again.
Welcome to the day 3 of my free Chakra Challenge! Today we are covering 3rd chakra - Solar Plexus- Manipura this chakra is related to our self-esteem and self-confidence. Is the center of our willpower, representing the energy of fire 🔥 and sun ☀️. If you like this challenge please join my private Facebook group to participate. Comment below to receive the link and come back tomorrow for another session- Heart Chakra ❤️❤️❤️
The solar plexus chakra - Manipura, is located in your stomach area about six inches above your belly button within your diaphragm. This chakra is responsible for confidence and self-esteem, as well as helping you feel in control of your life. The associated element of Manipura Chakra is fire.
It is also known as representing the energy of the sun as mentioned before.
So the element of fire ignites the light of consciousness that motivates us to strive towards success and good health. Spending too much time in the third chakra can cause burn out. However, not developing it can leave a person feeling weak or fearful.
The feelings of love and happiness that we feel in our hearts actually originate in the Solar Plexus Chakra and rise from there to the Heart Chakra. The fire energy of the Solar Plexus Chakra is very important in digestion and in promoting efficient absorption of nutrients. One of the most damaging mindsets carried by those with blocked solar plexus chakras is the notion that they are “powerless” and defenseless victims of life. If you carry this mentality, it will manifest as the tendency to blame other people for your unhappiness.
You might also find yourself constantly sacrificing your needs for others who don’t always appreciate your efforts.
When balanced you feel: strength, confidence, strong will and mental balance.
When unbalanced you feel: lack of energy, weakness, allergy, fatigue, low self esteem, worthlessness, digestion issues and liver problems.
This chakra is developed between 15-21 years.
Organs: intestines, pancreas, stomach, liver.

This wheel, or vortex of pranic energy is said to be the center of our creativity and self expression.
Yogic teachings say that the visuddha chakra gives us the ability to connect with and share our own truth.

At the center, all the rays of the brain radiate outward so that the soul is finally united with God. The rays keep the physical body nourished with energy.
Associated with the element of thought, this energy center controls your connection to spirit, as well as your sense of universal consciousness, wisdom, unity, and self-knowledge. Its associated color is violet, reflective of its connection to spirituality and enlightenment.

When working with the crown chakra, spend time thinking about the world around you—drawing some attention away from yourself. Some of the questions you may want to ask include:
